Our Wedding

Our story started long before we ever became “us.” We first met in high school and became friends, but as life often does, it eventually took us in different directions.Years later, our paths crossed again at a local bar—and in probably the most us way possible. I had decided to use the men’s bathroom, and as I walked out, Cody was trying to walk in. Of all the romantic ways two people could reconnect, apparently that was ours. From that day forward, we were pretty much inseparable.Over the years, we’ve built a life together. We moved in together, found new hobbies, traveled to new places, and met people along the way who became some of our closest friends. We’ve celebrated some of the best moments of our lives together and held onto each other through some of the hardest, including losing people we loved. Through every high, every low, and everything in between, we just kept choosing each other.And then came Christmas 2025.If you know us, you probably know that I had joked for years that Cody was going to keep me as his “girlfriend” until I was 90. So when he got down on one knee in our living room and asked, “Will you be my forever girlfriend?” it was perfectly Cody.After getting his joke in, he became serious and finally asked the question I had been waiting so long to hear:“Will you marry me?”Of course, I said yes.There was no elaborate setup or crowded room—just the two of us, in our home, surrounded by the life we had already built together. And somehow, that made it even more perfect.Now here we are, planning our wedding and dreaming about everything still ahead of us.Our love story may have started as two high school friends, and our second chance may have begun outside a men’s bathroom, but every unexpected turn brought us exactly where we were supposed to be.And after all these years, I won't be his 90-year-old girlfriend after all.I get to be his wife.

She always tells you exactly what you need to hear, whether you’re ready for it or not, and somehow always has the perfect witty one-liner ready. The bride’s little sister and one of her best friends, she can read her like a book, make her laugh instantly. She’s the person the bride can be completely herself with—the one who just gets her. Life wouldn’t be nearly as fun, loud, or full of laughter without her by the bride’s side.

Abby 

The bride’s cousin by blood but her soul sister at heart, she is one of the most loving and caring people you’ll ever meet. Always ready for an adventure and by the bride’s side through countless memories and laughter, she has been a constant source of support and joy. The bride couldn't imagine this day without her Katie Bug by her side!

The bride’s best friend since childhood, she is the definition of someone you can always count on. With a heart of gold and unwavering loyalty, she is fiercely protective of the bride and those she loves. More than a best friend, she is a constant, a protector, and a lifelong friend through every chapter of life.

The bride’s best friend since childhood, she has always been steady, confident, and unafraid to speak her mind. She has remained one of the bride’s safest places through every season of life—someone who offers understanding without judgment and feels like home.

The groom’s sister is always laughing and has a calming presence that puts everyone at ease. She has known the bride since childhood—meaning she likely has plenty of embarrassing stories. Over the years, she has become more than a childhood acquaintance; she is truly family..

Chelsie

she has held a special place in the bride’s heart from the very beginning. From the day she was born, she was Aunt Paigee’s girl—and later became Cody’s girl, too. She brings so much love and joy into their lives, and they couldn’t imagine this day without her by their side.

Kylie

Smart, witty, and always ready with something to make you smile, she holds such a special place in both the bride and groom’s hearts. She has a personality all her own and a way of bringing laughter and happiness wherever she goes. Having her be a part of this day means more to the Bride and Groom than she’ll ever know.

Maddy

The groom’s brother, built-in best friend, and the one who is always ready to have a good time. He’s funny, easygoing, and can turn just about any moment into a memory worth laughing about later. Through every stage of life, he has been more than just a brother to Cody—he’s been one of his closest friends and someone he knows will always have his back.

Brett

The groom’s best friend and the one you can always count on for a little advice—whether you asked for it or not! He’s funny, dependable, and always there when you need him, no matter the situation. Through plenty of laughs, good times, and life’s more serious moments, he has been a true and loyal friend to Cody.

Bodi

The groom’s best friend and quite possibly one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet. He’s always positive, always laughing, and always down for a good time. He’s the kind of friend who can make any situation more fun and somehow keeps everyone laughing along the way.

Spencer

A longtime friend of the groom and one of those people who is simply always there when you need him. He’s the first to lend a hand, always willing to help, and somehow always has a smile on his face while doing it. His happy, easygoing personality makes him the kind of person everyone enjoys having around.

Nick

The groom’s best friend since they were young and the one who probably knows Cody better than almost anyone. He’s level-headed, responsible, and the kind of friend you can always count on when it matters most. After growing up together and sharing years of memories, he knows Cody inside and out—the good, the bad, and probably a few stories Cody would prefer he keep to himself! Through every stage of life, he has remained a steady and loyal friend.

Cody 

The groom’s friend and the one who is always keeping everyone on their toes. You never quite know what he’s going to say or do next, but you can guarantee there will be plenty of laughs along the way. He’s always ready to have fun, make a memory, and turn an ordinary moment into a story everyone will be talking about later.

Gaines

The bride’s brother-in-law, but truly so much more than that. He has always been there for her, through the big moments and the little ones, and has shown her what the true meaning of family really is. Always happy, welcoming, and someone you can count on, he has never made the bride feel like just his wife’s little sister—he has always made her feel like family of his own. She is incredibly grateful for the bond they share and couldn’t imagine such an important day without him being a part of it.

Kyle

A friend of both the bride and groom, the life of the party, and someone who is always ready to turn any night into a good time. But underneath all the fun is someone who is the true definition of loyal. He’s the kind of friend who shows up, stands by the people he loves, and can always be counted on when it matters most.

Ever

The bride’s first-born nephew and the very first little boy to completely steal her heart. From the moment he came into her life, he gave her a kind of love she had never known before and made being “Aunt Paigee” one of her favorite roles. He holds a place in her life that no one else could ever fill and means more to her than he will probably ever truly understand. Having him be a part of one of the most important days of her life isn’t just special—it’s something she will cherish forever.

Luke

The groom’s nephew, full of hilarious one-liners and always keeping everyone laughing with the things he comes up with. He holds such a special place in both Paige and Cody’s hearts and means more to them than he probably realizes. Watching him grow into the amazing young man he is becoming has been so special, and they couldn’t imagine celebrating such an important day without him being a part of it.

Elmer

The bride’s youngest nephew and quite possibly the funniest kid in the entire world. He has a way of making everyone laugh without even trying, but behind all that humor is the biggest heart and the sweetest little soul. He loves with his whole heart, brings so much happiness wherever he goes, and is so incredibly loved by everyone lucky enough to know him. He holds such a special place in Aunt Paigee’s heart, and having him be part of this day makes it even more meaningful.

Reid

Lovable, ornery, and basically family. He may have started out as my nephew’s best friend, but somewhere along the way, he became another nephew to us. Always keeping us laughing, probably getting into a little trouble, and loved just like one of our own.
